How does the year work?
The year is made up of three 10-week terms. Each week includes a day of teaching and training, serving with your placement team for two days a week, and serving on Sundays across the HTB sites.
Teaching Days
The Teaching Days are Input days are great fun and a safe place for to step out of your comfort zone and be stretched as you grow in skills and confidence, as well as connection with one another. The teaching is delivered by amazing guest speakers and gifted leaders from the HTB team.
You will undertake three modules, running side-by-side throughout the year:
Module 1: Think like a leader
Deep Bible teaching, including how to feed your ministry from the Bible, how to read the Bible for all its worth, how to think Biblically
Mission and Evangelism: How to read a city, how to lead on mission, mobilising others
Navigating this cultural moment: Reaching this generation, the call of the church in this time
Module 2: Live like a leader
How to manage yourself in ministry – boundaries, emotional health, following the pattern of Jesus
Prayer & worship – sustaining your life from a pattern of prayer and worship
Relationships – managing your relationships, healing and forgiveness
Values of Christian leadership – humility, integrity, service, courage etc.
Module 3: Lead like a leader
Leading from the front – preaching, leading services, how to lead prayer meetings that change the world
Leading in 1-1 growth – discipling others, prayer ministry, dealing with difficult conversations, raising up leaders
Running a ministry - Pioneering new things / starting a ministry, leading teams, engaging volunteers
Plus specific training from your ministry area: Students, Youth, Kids, Social Transformation, Alpha and more…

The year is open now for applications from 18 to 30-year-olds.

Fees:
£900
The course fees cover tuition, books for required reading, retreats and Academy events. We are sadly unable to offer financial support or help in finding accommodation or covering living expenses.
We have a limited number of bursaries available to contribute towards course fees for students who have exhausted all other options of income and financial support. These can be applied for once you have been accepted onto the course.
